Peace Week
September 19, 2016 - September 23, 2016
Broward County is celebrating Peace Week, September 19th – 23rd. Peace Week is an event that helps build awareness and create environments free from bullying and violence, and to build peace, tolerance and positive change. We are celebrating Peace Week with the following activities:
Monday, 19th: Go Blue and End Mean (wear blue to standup to bullying)
Tuesday, 20th: K-2 Chalk4Peace*
Wednesday, 21st: Pinwheels for Peace
Thursday, 22nd: 3-5 Chalk4Peace*
Friday, 23rd: Fighting for Peace (wear a superhero shirt)
*A sidewalk chalk painting festival happens world wide every September. It is a way to spread messages of inspiration and visions for a more peaceful community.
