Literacy Week was a huge success at Ramblewood! R.J. Palacio’s “We’re All Wonders” picture book inspired our “Choose Kindness” theme. How did we celebrate?
The halls were decorated with inspirational precepts.
Each day had a dress up theme related to the book.
The cafeteria sported a “Wonder” helmet made of individual pictures of ALL of our students wearing a helmet like Auggie’s from the Wonder books.
The children “caught reading” were entered to win a raffle basket – there were a lot of raffle entries!
We celebrated the week with Family Night at Cold Stone where our celebrity scoopers dished up your favorite ice cream treats and we read aloud books to the kids.
Friday capped the final day with everyone in the school reading “We’re All Wonders.”
